Satan’s Biggest Trick:

4 Truths to Stand for!

One part of, Satan’s Biggest Trick; he will always try to convince us that it’s okay to sacrifice to God — as long as we stay in the world. He’ll tell us, “Go ahead and worship, but don’t leave my territory.” This is a tactic he’s used since the beginning of time — allowing us to “play church” while still being bound by the world’s system.

Just like Pharaoh told Moses, “You can sacrifice to your God, but do it here in Egypt,” Satan whispers the same lie to us today. He doesn’t mind if we go to church on Sunday or attend Bible study on Wednesday — as long as we’re still living by the world’s standards the rest of the week. He’s content to let us sacrifice to God on Sunday, as long as on Monday through Saturday, we’re still building his kingdom, following his rules, and doing things his way.

But that’s not the kind of life God calls us to.

Satan’s Biggest Trick

No Compromise with the Enemy

Pharaoh tried to strike a compromise with Moses. “Go ahead and sacrifice — just don’t leave Egypt.” But Moses refused. He said, “I’m not leaving without my children. I’m not leaving without my sons and daughters, my young and my old. My entire house is going to serve the Lord.”

And that’s the stance we need to take today. Satan will let us have church — as long as we stay bound to the world. He’ll tell us, “It’s okay to sin a little here and there. It’s okay to act like the world sometimes — just don’t fully surrender.” But we have to stand firm and say, “No! We are not falling for that. We are serving God on His terms, not the world’s.”

We have to tear down the walls of false religions and false gods that try to creep into our lives. We need to live by God’s Word — not the world’s standards. When God told the Israelites to take a three-day journey into the wilderness to sacrifice to Him, He was making a statement: Come out from the world. Worship Me on My terms. No compromise.

Satan’s Biggest Trick

Taking Everything with Us

When Moses stood before Pharaoh, he made it clear: “We’re not leaving anything behind.” He wasn’t just taking the people — he was taking their livestock and everything they needed to worship God. In other words, Moses wasn’t going to settle for partial freedom — he wanted complete deliverance.

And that’s how we need to approach our spiritual walk. We can’t just settle for attending church and living for God on Sundays while still holding on to the world’s influence during the week. We have to take a stand and say:

It’s not enough to get our families into church. We need to equip ourselves with the tools to worship God fully — praise, prayer, and a godly lifestyle. Satan would love to keep us distracted, exhausted, and spiritually empty — but we can’t let him win.

Satan’s Biggest Trick

Jesus: The Ultimate Sacrifice

Under the Old Covenant, the Israelites sacrificed animals to atone for sin. But today, we are not bound by that system because Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice. His death on the cross paid the price for our freedom. We don’t need to sacrifice sheep or goats — His blood covers us completely.

But the world doesn’t want to hear about that. They don’t want to hear that Jesus died and rose again. They don’t want to hear that His blood is enough to set us free. The world mocks the idea of salvation through Jesus — but that doesn’t change the truth.

Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection parallel the Israelites’ three-day journey into the wilderness. Just like they stepped out of Egypt and into freedom, we step into freedom when we accept Christ’s sacrifice. Through baptism, we enter into His death, burial, and resurrection — and when we rise, we are free to live for Him.

Living for God in a Fallen World

God promises to meet our needs — not to make us wealthy, but to provide what we need to live and serve Him. Our mission as believers is to live for Jesus and to be a witness to others trapped in the world’s system.

Yes, we’ll face opposition. The world will push back when we take a stand for Christ. But just like Moses refused to compromise with Pharaoh, we must refuse to compromise with Satan.

God calls us to full freedom — not partial deliverance. He wants us to worship Him in spirit and truth, not under the control of the world. We can’t settle for anything less than total obedience to God’s call.

No compromise. No turning back. We’re leaving Egypt — and we’re not coming back.
